If you are looking for a Casio watch with an original and unique dial, you will probably turn to an "Arabic dial". This means a watch with an index display with "oriental" Arabic numerals because, let's remember, the term "Arabic numerals" would correspond more to the numbering system that we are used to using, that is to say "1, 2, 3, 4...". The term "Indo-Arabic" would therefore be the most appropriate to talk about this numbering system, but popular culture has made these watches take the name " Arabic Dial " which is a name that speaks to the greatest number of people.

This unique series is exclusively distributed in the Middle East, which is why you will never see it in stores in Europe or elsewhere. It is no longer produced to this day, which makes it extremely difficult to find anywhere in the world.

All these references may seem incomprehensible at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it is very easy to decipher them and learn about the characteristics of the watches thanks to them. Generally, they are composed in this way:

Gender (1) - series (2) - strap type (3) - dial color (4) - finish (5)

1 - The gender of the watch defines its size, because a women's watch indicated by the mention "LTP" (L for "Ladies) is naturally smaller than an "MTP" model (M for "Men") due to the difference in wrist sizes between men and women.

2 - In the "Arabic Dial" range, only two series exist: the 1215 and the 1302. The main difference lies in the shape of the case and the bezel; the 1215 series adopts a simpler design with a fairly thin and refined case as well as an extension at the crown, while the 1302 series offers a more imposing and thicker model, with a fluted / grooved bezel that reminds the most expert of the Datejust and Day-Date models from Rolex.

3 - The type of strap is indicated just after the series of the watch. In this range we find the terms "L", "D", "A" or "SG", which define the exact type of strap that is installed on it. Leather straps have the letter L for "Leather" while metal straps have the letters A (chrome edges), D (chrome middle) or SG ("Silver & Gold) which is identical to the D but with the chrome middle in gold color.

4 - For the color of the dial, it is the number 1 (black) or 7 (white, sometimes silver) which gives us the information.

5 - Finally, the simplest for the end, the term "B3" designates the "Arabic Dial" range with its very specific numbers. Generally at Casio, this last number/letter specifies a specific variant or a finish: type of numbers, type of index, etc.
