Seiko U.S. Special Creation: The Complete Guide to American Exclusives
For several years, Seiko has been designing a range of watches for the American market that are unavailable anywhere else in the world. Labelled U.S. Special Creation or U.S. Special Edition, these watches combine the Japanese brand's sporty DNA with colours and themes specifically designed for the American public: gold PVD treatments, striped dials inspired by vintage racing car liveries, or solar chronographs paying homage to 1960s–70s automotive history.
These models are launched exclusively in the United States. Good news: at PSB Watches, we make them accessible to you from France and ship worldwide. This means you can enjoy these American exclusives without having to cross the Atlantic, with the reliability and support of an established retailer.
How to identify a U.S. Special Creation model?
There isn't really one single solution, but generally, Seiko watches intended for the US market have no suffix — the reference ends directly with numbers. For example: SRPK18, SSK021, SSC927. For special creations distributed only in the USA, you won't find the equivalent "K1" or "J1" that you might usually see on other references.
Furthermore, a good indicator is the barcode. The same Seiko reference generally has a European EAN-type barcode and an American UPC-type barcode, depending on the sales market. If the model does not have a European variation, it is probably a special USA creation.
