Introduction

The Seiko 5 Sports SRPK65K1 "Checker Flag" Blue Special Edition pays homage to the brand's iconic models from the 1960s and 1970s. Its petrol blue dial, combined with a unidirectional rotating bezel adorned with a blue and white checkered pattern, evokes the checkered flag of car races.

The 42.5mm stainless steel case houses the automatic 4R36 caliber, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The hands and indexes are coated with Lumibrite, ensuring optimal readability in the dark. The transparent case back reveals the mechanism in action, and the stainless steel bracelet ensures comfortable and secure wear.

This special edition features the inscription "SPECIAL EDITION" on the case back, highlighting its unique character.

Case

The case of the SRPK65K1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 42.5mm and a thickness of 13.4mm (lug-to-lug: 46.0mm). The dial is protected by Hardlex glass, a proprietary Seiko heat treatment that improves the shock and scratch resistance of standard mineral glass. The lug width is 22 mm.

The SRPK65K1 is powered by the Seiko 4R36 automatic caliber, with a power reserve of 41 hours. This manufacture caliber, made in Japan, features 24 jewels and beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour. It has hacking (stop seconds) and manual winding.

Bracelet

The SRPK65K1 comes with a stainless steel bracelet, fastened by a secure folding clasp. The 22 mm lug width is compatible with standard bracelets.
