The case of the SNKL84K1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 38.0mm and a thickness of 11.0mm. The dial is protected by a Hardlex crystal, Seiko's hardened mineral glass, which is more shock-resistant than untreated mineral glass and can be polished in the event of minor scratches. The lug width is 20mm.
