The hands and indices, coated with LumiBrite, ensure optimal legibility, while a date window is positioned at 3 o'clock.

This model is powered by the Seiko caliber 6N52 quartz movement, offering an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and a battery life of approximately 3 years. The 40mm diameter and 9.75mm thick stainless steel case is protected by a scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal. The stainless steel bracelet is equipped with a deployant clasp with a push-button, ensuring a secure fit. Water resistance up to 10 bar (100 meters) allows for versatile everyday use.

The case of the SUR503P1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 40.0mm and a thickness of 9.8mm (lug-to-lug: 47.5mm). The dial is protected by Hardlex, Seiko's proprietary hardened mineral glass: more shock-resistant than standard mineral glass and more flexible than Hardlex. The case back is solid, contributing to the case's water resistance. The lug width is 20 mm.
