Introduction

The Seiko 5 Sports SRPF89K1 and SRPF90K1 watches are two models distributed exclusively in Gulf countries since early 2021. Like its counterpart, this SRPF89K1 leaves no one indifferent. Its white/beige Arabic numeral indexes are enhanced by a magnificent black dial with grey reflections, which are revealed when the watch is handled. The silver bracelet and case contrast with the black also present on the bezel, giving a remarkable look on the wrist.

The distribution of this model has now ceased, making it a unique and difficult-to-find piece.

Case

The case of the SRPF89K1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 42.5mm and a thickness of 13.4mm (lug-to-lug: 46.0mm). The dial is protected by a Hardlex crystal, Seiko's proprietary thermal treatment that improves the shock and scratch resistance of standard mineral glass. The case back is transparent, allowing the caliber to be admired from the outside. The lug width is 22 mm.

Movement

The SRPF89K1 is powered by the automatic Seiko 4R36 caliber, with a power reserve of 41 hours. This in-house caliber, made in Japan, features 24 jewels and beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour. It has hacking (stop seconds) and manual winding.

Bracelet

The SRPF89K1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet, fastened by a push-button deployant clasp. The lug width is 22 mm.
