Launched in 1963, this collection embodies accessible automatic watches: 37mm case, 7S26 caliber with 21 jewels, 30m water resistance. Note: the 7S26 does not feature hacking or manual winding — an intentional characteristic of this entry-level caliber.

Case

The case of the Seiko SNKF90J1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 37 mm and a thickness of 11 mm. The bezel is fixed. The protection of the Gold dial is provided by a Hardlex crystal, a Seiko proprietary treatment for light scratches. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing observation of the movement in operation. The water resistance is 30 m, suitable for splashes and rain.

Movement

The Seiko SNKF90J1 is powered by the automatic 7S26 caliber, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. This movement does not feature hacking (stopping the second hand for time setting) or manual winding — two intentionally absent functions on this entry-level caliber. Its accuracy hovers around ±15 seconds per day, which is expected for an automatic movement in this segment.

Bracelet

The Seiko SNKF90J1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet, both robust and easy to maintain, secured by a deployant clasp, which makes it easy to put on and take off the watch while securing the bracelet on the wrist. The lug width is 18 mm.
