The Seiko SRPE55K1 belongs to the Seiko 5 Sports range. This sporty and accessible collection offers a reliable 4R36 automatic movement in a 42.5mm steel case, water-resistant to 100m — sufficient for swimming and active daily life. The black dial and unidirectional bezel provide optimal legibility.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SRPE55K1 measures 42.5mm in diameter and is 13mm thick. The bezel is fixed. The dial is protected by a Hardlex crystal, Seiko's proprietary treatment for light scratches. The case back is an exhibition (transparent) type, allowing observation of the movement in operation. The water resistance is 100m, sufficient for swimming and snorkeling. The indexes and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for prolonged nocturnal legibility.

Movement

The Seiko SRPE55K1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R36, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It includes hacking (stopping the second hand for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The day-date display is positioned at 3 o'clock.

Bracelet

The stainless steel bracelet of the Seiko SRPE55K1, secured by a folding clasp, complements the case coherently. The lug width is 22mm.
