The Seiko 5 Sports SSK027K1 belongs to the SKX Sense Style series and pays tribute to Japanese skateboarder Yuto Horigome with a limited edition of 2700 pieces worldwide. Inspired by the iconic SKX design, this GMT version adopts a distinctive style with a blue and purple bi-color bezel and a matte black dial. The LumiBrite coated indexes and hands ensure excellent readability, while the red GMT hand allows for the display of a second time zone. A date window positioned at 3 o'clock completes the functions for daily use.

Case

The case is made of 316L stainless steel with a black titanium carbide anti-scratch coating. It has a diameter of 42.5 mm, a thickness of 13.6 mm, and a lug-to-lug length of approximately 46 mm. The dial is protected by a Hardlex crystal, and the watch features a 24-hour rotating bezel for reading the GMT time zone. The whole offers a water resistance of 10 bar (100 meters). The transparent case back bears Yuto Horigome's signature as well as the limited edition mention.

Movement

The SSK027K1 is powered by the Seiko 4R34 caliber, an automatic movement with manual winding featuring 24 jewels. It offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. This movement allows for the display of hours, minutes, seconds, date, as well as a second time zone via the GMT hand. The stated accuracy is between -35 and +45 seconds per day.

Strap

The watch is equipped with a jubilee-style stainless steel bracelet with a black coating matching the case. It features a secure folding clasp ensuring a reliable and comfortable fit on the wrist. The lug width measures 22 mm, offering an ideal balance between robustness and comfort for daily wear.
