The dial is protected by Hardlex glass, a proprietary Seiko treatment for light scratches. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing observation of the movement in operation. Water resistance is 100m, sufficient for swimming and snorkeling. The indexes and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for prolonged nighttime legibility.

The Seiko SNZB23J1 is powered by the 7S36 automatic calibre, offering an approximate power reserve of 41 hours. This movement features neither hacking (stop-seconds for time setting) nor manual winding—two functions intentionally absent from this entry-level calibre. Its precision fluctuates around ±15 seconds per day, which is expected for an automatic movement in this segment. The day-date display is positioned at 3 o'clock.

Bracelet
