The Seiko SRPJ89K1 is part of the Seiko 5 Sports range. This sporty and accessible collection offers a reliable automatic 4R36 movement in a 42.5 mm steel case, water-resistant to 100 m — sufficient for swimming and active daily wear. The green dial and unidirectional bezel provide optimal legibility.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SRPJ89K1 measures 42.5 mm in diameter and 13 mm in thickness. The bezel is fixed. The dial is protected by a Hardlex glass, a proprietary Seiko treatment for light scratches. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing observation of the movement in operation. The water resistance is 100 m, sufficient for swimming and snorkeling. The indices and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for extended nighttime legibility.

Movement

The Seiko SRPJ89K1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R36, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It incorporates hacking (stop-seconds for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The day-date display is positioned at 3 o'clock.

Strap

The leather strap of the Seiko SRPJ89K1, fastened by a pin buckle, complements the case coherently. The lug width is 22 mm.
