The Seiko SRPL85K1 is part of the Seiko 5 Sports range. This sporty and accessible collection features a reliable 4R36 automatic movement in a 42.5 mm steel case, water-resistant to 100 m—sufficient for swimming and daily active use. The black dial and unidirectional bezel provide optimal readability.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SRPL85K1 measures 42.5 mm in diameter and is 13 mm thick. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The dial is protected by Hardlex glass, Seiko's proprietary treatment for light scratches. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing the movement to be observed in operation. The water resistance is 100 m, sufficient for swimming and snorkeling. The indexes and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for prolonged nocturnal readability.

Movement

The Seiko SRPL85K1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R36, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It includes hacking (stop-seconds for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The day-date display is located at 3 o'clock.

Bracelet

The stainless steel bracelet of the Seiko SRPL85K1, secured by a folding clasp, complements the case coherently. The lug width is 22 mm.
