The Seiko SRPL89K1 is part of the Seiko 5 Sports range. This sporty and accessible collection offers a reliable automatic 4R36 base in a 42.5 mm steel case, water-resistant to 100 m — sufficient for swimming and active daily life. The orange dial and unidirectional bezel provide optimal legibility.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SRPL89K1 measures 42.5 mm in diameter and is 13 mm thick. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The dial is protected by Hardlex glass, Seiko's proprietary treatment for light scratches. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing observation of the movement in operation. Water resistance is 100 m, sufficient for swimming and snorkeling. The indices and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for extended nighttime legibility.

Movement

The Seiko SRPL89K1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R36, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It incorporates hacking (stop-seconds for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The day-date display is positioned at 3 o'clock.

Strap

The silicone strap of the Seiko SRPL89K1, fastened with a pin buckle, complements the case coherently. The lug width is 22 mm.
