Collection

The Seiko SRPL57K1 is part of the Seiko 5 Sports SNXS range, a more compact version of the collection. It offers the functionalities of the 5 Sports—automatic 4R36 with hacking, exhibition case back—in a thinner 42.5 mm case, suitable for slender wrists as well as preferences for smaller sizes.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SRPL57K1 measures 42.5 mm in diameter and is 13 mm thick. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The dial is protected by a Hardlex crystal, a proprietary Seiko treatment for light scratches. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing observation of the movement in operation. The water resistance is 100 m, sufficient for swimming and snorkeling. The indices and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for extended nighttime legibility.

Movement

The Seiko SRPL57K1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R36, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It integrates hacking (stop-seconds for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent in the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The day-date display is positioned at 3 o'clock.

Bracelet

The stainless steel bracelet of the Seiko SRPL57K1, secured by a folding clasp, complements the case coherently. The lug width is 22 mm.
