The dial is protected by Hardlex, Seiko's proprietary hardened mineral glass: more shock-resistant than standard mineral glass and more flexible than Hardlex. The case back is transparent, offering a view of the movement and its rotor. The lug width is 22 mm.

The SRPK87K1 is powered by the Seiko 4R36 automatic caliber (24 jewels, 21,600 alt/h), with a power reserve of 41 hours. This manufacture caliber includes hacking and manual winding.
Bracelet
The SRPK87K1 comes with a stainless steel bracelet, secured by a folding clasp whose two pushers prevent accidental opening. The lug width is 22 mm.
