Then in 1966, it launched the first Braille wrist-watch, paving the way for a long line of watches designed for those who cannot see the time. The S23159J5 perpetuates this legacy: its hinged acrylic crystal opens with a simple gesture to reveal a dial with raised hands and indices, allowing the time to be read by touch, discreetly and without external assistance. A watch that restores independence.

Case

The case of the Seiko S23159J5 is made of silver-colored metal, with a diameter of 36 mm, proportioned for the male wrist. The acrylic crystal opens on a hinge upwards to access the dial. The hour and minute hands are clearly differentiated and raised. The raised indices allow the hours to be located precisely, with more pronounced markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. Once closed, the case has the appearance of an ordinary watch.

Movement

The Seiko S23159J5 is powered by the 7C17 quartz caliber, accurate to ±15 seconds per month, reliably displaying the hours and minutes.

Strap

The Seiko S23159J5 is equipped with a black leather strap, closed by a push-button deployment buckle, designed to be easily manipulated.
