The case of the SUR449P1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 40.2mm and a thickness of 8.4mm (lug-to-lug: 47.5mm). The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, whose hardness of 9 Mohs makes it impervious to keys, coins, and metallic surfaces. The case back is solid, contributing to the case's water resistance. The lug width is 20 mm.

The SUR449P1 is equipped with the Seiko 6N53 in-house quartz caliber, accurate to ±15 s/month, with an autonomy of approximately 3 years.
