The Seiko SSA377J1 is part of the Presage collection with an open heart complication. The circular cutout on the dial reveals the balance wheel and a portion of the gear train, allowing the movement to be observed in operation. Caliber 4R39 with 41 hours of power reserve, 40.5 mm case.

Case

The case of the Seiko SSA377J1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 40.5 mm and a thickness of 12.5 mm. The bezel is fixed. The black dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective treatment. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing the movement to be observed in operation. The water resistance is 50 m, suitable for swimming and splashes.

Movement

The Seiko SSA377J1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R39, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It includes hacking (stopping the second hand for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent in the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The dial opening reveals the balance wheel and a portion of the gear train, making the mechanics directly observable on the wrist.

Bracelet

The Seiko SSA377J1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet, both robust and easy to maintain, fastened by a deployant clasp, which facilitates putting on and taking off the watch by securing the bracelet to the wrist. The lug width is 20 mm.
