The Seiko SSA441J1 belongs to the Presage Open Heart line. The open dial exposes the 4R38 caliber in motion—a visual signature that illustrates mechanical watchmaking without filters. 40.5 mm case, sapphire crystal, water resistant to 50 m.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SSA441J1 measures 40.5 mm in diameter and 13.1 mm in thickness. The bezel is fixed. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective coating. The case back is exhibition (transparent), allowing the movement to be observed in operation. The water resistance is 50 m, suitable for swimming and splashes.

Movement

The Seiko SSA441J1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R38, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It includes hacking (stopping the second hand for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber. The open dial reveals the balance wheel and a portion of the gear train, making the mechanics directly observable on the wrist.

Strap

The stainless steel bracelet of the Seiko SSA441J1, closed by a folding clasp, complements the case with coherence. The lug width is 20 mm.
