The Seiko SPB301J1 is part of the Prospex Save the Ocean collection. Each watch in this range is linked to an ocean protection program, and its design is inspired by the marine world – here, a white dial reminiscent of the deep sea. Case

The case of the Seiko SPB301J1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 44.3 mm and a thickness of 13.4 mm. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The white dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with an anti-reflective coating. The case back is solid and screwed down. The water resistance is 200 m, compliant with ISO 6425 diving standards. The indexes and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for prolonged nighttime readability. The case benefits from a Dia-Shield treatment (super-hard coating) which improves its scratch resistance.

Movement

The Seiko SPB301J1 is powered by the automatic caliber 6R35, offering a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The 6R caliber is the high-end of Seiko's series of automatic movements: it features hacking and manual winding, and offers a significantly higher power reserve than the 4R calibers.

Bracelet

The Seiko SPB301J1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet, both robust and easy to maintain, fastened by a deployant clasp, which makes it easy to put on and take off the watch while securing the bracelet to the wrist. The lug width is 20 mm.
