Case

The case of the Seiko SPB511J1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 13.8 mm. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The silver dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with an anti-reflective coating. The case back is solid screw-down. Water resistance is 200 m, compliant with ISO 6425 diving standards. The indexes and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminous material for extended night readability.

Movement

The Seiko SPB511J1 is powered by the automatic caliber 6R55, offering a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The 6R caliber is the high-end of Seiko's production automatic movements: it features hacking and manual winding, and offers a significantly longer power reserve than 4R calibers.

Bracelet

The Seiko SPB511J1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet, both robust and easy to maintain, fastened by a deployant clasp, which makes it easy to put on and take off the watch while securing the bracelet to the wrist. The lug width is 20 mm.
