The Seiko SRPG15J1 belongs to the Prospex line, the brand's high-end sports range. The Prospex collection has covered diving, altitude, and exploration since the 1960s; this 40.5 mm blue model with 50 m water resistance is a modern and accessible representative.

Case

Made of stainless steel, the case of the Seiko SRPG15J1 measures 40.5 mm in diameter and 12.6 mm in thickness. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective treatment. The case back is solid screwed. Water resistance is 50 m, suitable for swimming and splashes. The indexes and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for extended night-time readability.

Movement

The Seiko SRPG15J1 is powered by the automatic caliber 4R35, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It incorporates hacking (stop seconds for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber.

Strap

The NATO-style nylon strap of the Seiko SRPG15J1, fastened by a pin buckle, consistently complements the case. The lug width is 20 mm.
