The Seiko SRPH99K1 belongs to the Prospex range, a series of sports instruments. The Turtle model — named for its characteristic curved case — revives the silhouette of 1970s Seiko divers, reimagined in a 44.3 mm case with a 4R35 caliber and 200m water resistance. Its unidirectional bezel and luminous markers make it operational for diving as well as on the surface.

Case

The case of the Seiko SRPH99K1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 44.3 mm and a thickness of 13.4 mm. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The black dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective coating. The case back is solid and screwed down. The water resistance is 200 m, complying with ISO 6425 diving standards. The markers and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent material for extended nocturnal readability.

Movement

The Seiko SRPH99K1 is powered by the automatic 4R35 caliber, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It includes hacking (stop-seconds for precise time setting) and manual winding, two conveniences absent on the previous generation 7S26 caliber.

Strap

The Seiko SRPH99K1 is equipped with a NATO-style nylon strap, light and breathable, ideal for sports use, fastened by a pin buckle, classic and easy to adjust. The lug width is 22 mm.
