The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC817P1 belongs to the Prospex Speedtimer collection and is directly inspired by Seiko's historic chronograph. This model stands out with its gold sandblasted dial contrasted by three dark sub-dials that ensure clear readability of the chronograph functions. The hands and indices are treated with LumiBrite to offer excellent visibility in low light conditions, a key characteristic of Prospex watches.

Case

The case is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 39 mm and a thickness of approximately 13.3 mm. The watch is equipped with a black and yellow tachymeter bezel allowing for the measurement of average speed over a given distance. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The entire assembly guarantees water resistance up to 10 bar (100 meters) and has a lug width of 20 mm.

Movement

The Speedtimer SSC817P1 is powered by the Seiko V192 solar caliber, a quartz movement powered by natural or artificial light. A full charge provides a power reserve of approximately 6 months with an accuracy of approximately ±15 seconds per month. This movement includes a 1/5th of a second chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes, a 24-hour hand, a small seconds hand, a tachymeter, and a date display.

Bracelet

The watch is equipped with a robust and comfortable stainless steel bracelet, matching the case. It fastens with a push-button deployment clasp ensuring a secure fit and easy daily handling.
