The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC917P1 belongs to the Prospex Speedtimer collection inspired by the historic chronograph launched by Seiko in 1969. This version features a black case with titanium carbon coating and a dark dial enhanced with indices and hands treated with green LumiBrite. This contrast gives the watch an aesthetic inspired by night vision instruments while maintaining the sporty DNA of the Speedtimer line.

Case

The case is made of stainless steel with a black coating and has a diameter of approximately 39 mm and a thickness of 13.3 mm. It is equipped with a tachymeter bezel allowing the measurement of an average speed over a given distance. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The watch guarantees water resistance of 10 bar (100 meters) and has a lug width of 20 mm.

Movement

The Speedtimer SSC917P1 is powered by the Seiko V192 caliber, a solar quartz movement powered by natural or artificial light. A full charge provides a power reserve of approximately 6 months with an accuracy of approximately ±15 seconds per month. This movement includes a 1/5th of a second chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes, a small seconds hand, a 24-hour hand, a tachymeter, and a date display.

Strap

The watch is equipped with a black stainless steel bracelet matching the case. It fastens with a deployant clasp with push-button ensuring secure closure and optimal comfort on the wrist.
