The Seiko SPB313J1 is part of the Prospex range, a series of sports instruments. The Turtle model — named for its characteristic domed case — takes up the silhouette of Seiko divers from the 1970s, revisited in a 44.3 mm case with a 6R35 caliber and 200 m water resistance. Its unidirectional bezel and luminous markers make it operational for diving and on the surface.

Case

The case of the Seiko SPB313J1 is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 44.3 mm and a thickness of 13.4 mm. The unidirectional rotating bezel allows for precise measurement of dive times. The protection of the White dial is ensured by a sapphire crystal, the most scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective coating. The case back is solid screw-down. The water resistance is 200 m, in accordance with ISO 6425 diving standards. The markers and hands are coated with LumiBrite, Seiko's luminescent for extended nighttime readability.

Movement

The Seiko SPB313J1 is powered by the automatic caliber 6R35, offering a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The 6R caliber is the top-of-the-range of standard Seiko automatic movements: it features hacking and manual winding, and offers a significantly higher power reserve than 4R calibers.

Bracelet

The Seiko SPB313J1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet, both robust and easy to maintain, closed by a folding clasp, which makes it easy to put on and take off the watch by securing the bracelet to the wrist. The lug width is 20 mm.
